So Cheeto has found a favorite and it isn’t me. No in fact it is my husband who garners all the attention. When he calls you can hear her little paws come running. She loves him so much she drools! When I pet her she purrs a little, but I swear she is like a little motor engine when he even looks in her direction. This is mutal by the way and Cheeto is now referred to as his cat.
Oh Cheeto why have you forsaken me thus?
So I think this is mostly on Cheeto, but her and Auri don’t seem to want to be around each other. Cheeto hisses and swats, while Auri yelps and tucks herself into her body. However, there are times when they seem almost friendly. The other day I caught Cheeto actually cleaning Auri. Now, Cheeto gets along with the other two kids (Tesla and Mordechai) but since we’ve got Auri she just does not seem like she wants to be nice. Hoping she grows out of it.
As you can see Cheeto is getting really big. She has calmed down significantly since we have gotten her. Which is great. She’s not annoying Mordechai anymore, she’s not running across us while we sleeping and she doesn’t use her claws to climb us anymore. She does still purr just by looking at her and is extremely cuddly. She lets me hold her in my arms (something Mordechai refuses on letting me do) and she gives kisses.
So far no health problems which am I so grateful for!
Keep checking in for updates!
Why is she eating the tree!
I see You!
If you have a Cat and celebrate Christmas, then you know the hassle of having a Christmas tree. For some reason, the twinkling lights, dangling ornaments and the branches of the tree make for an exciting cat adventure. Who knew?
While Mordechai does do a little tree climbing, Cheeto has been the biggest culprit. Not only does she climb, she also bites the tree and tries to open the presents. The little pest can’t wait for Christmas soon enough. While apparently you usually keep the tree up until New Year’s day, we usually take the tree down the day after Christmas.
If your cat doesn’t do this then you have a system down and are super lucky
My little Cheeto is getting so big. She finally has all her shots and has completely adapted to our family life. Her energy level is still completely out of control and she still does not understand that her nails hurt when she uses them. She still has a bit of a food problem that when she smells any kind of meat she tries to get it in any way possible. She has stopped growling and hissing when she eats wet food and has actually been okay sharing food with mordechai.
She also has a hard time sleeping when we are. I can’t wait until she mellows out a bit more, so I don’t have to spend hours playing with her just to get her a little tired. She seriously has boundless energy. I don’t remember Mordechai being this crazy.
So far Mordechai has adapted well to having another cat in the house, maybe it’s easier with a kitten, but Mordechai has often been an easy going cat (as long as I don’t look at the vet visit bills). Except for the occasional hissing when Cheeto bites his ear when he’s sleeping and him playing a bit too rough (this will be his first playmate since he scares tesla so she doesn’t play with him.
He does like to clean up after her, cleaning her face after she eats, making sure all her potty breaks are covered in the litter box and eating the rest of her food when she doesn’t finish. I actually think he’s enjoying the fact that there is another cat in the household. I think he’s just waiting for her energy to die down.
So far Cheeto is adjusting really well in her new home, We has yet to have any bathroom accidents and while we are currently teaching her it is not polite to climb up people while they are eating everything seems super well. Her favorite place to see is apparently in our bed because when we don’t see her we immediately know where she would be, although we have to be careful because she is ridiculous small buried under our comforter. I’ll post another update with how the other pets are adjusting to having a new sister soon.
